FIFA 20 description

FIFA 20 brings together professional football and VOLTA, a street-football experience focused on small-sided play. In VOLTA, players create a male or female footballer and take part in different forms of football in locations around the world. The game also includes FIFA Ultimate Team, where players build a squad from thousands of footballers.

VOLTA has several distinct formats: Kick-Off takes professional teams into street locations, while VOLTA Story follows a player facing street-football legends and leads to a World Championship tournament in Buenos Aires. VOLTA League is an online player-versus-player format with promotion and relegation between divisions.

Gameplay and features

Street-football techniques: VOLTA matches include simplified flicks and skill moves, flair animations, and the option to use a wall as a teammate. Match formats include 3v3 Rush without goalkeepers, 4v4, 4v4 Rush, 5v5 and Professional Futsal.
Build a VOLTA squad: In VOLTA World, play single-player matches against community-generated squads. After a win, recruit a player from the opposing team to develop your squad's skill and chemistry.
Football Intelligence: The on-pitch system covers AI player positioning and movement, defensive support, and ball behaviour. Its ball physics include varied shot trajectories, spins and bounces.
Attacking and set pieces: Strafe dribbling lets players move more agilely to draw in an opponent before trying to beat them with speed or skill. Free kicks and penalties offer more aiming options and skill-based striking mechanics.
