Phantom Blade Zero is an action RPG set in the Phantom World, a setting that blends Chinese martial arts, steampunk and dark fantasy. You play Soul, an elite assassin of The Order, whose search for survival becomes a race against a sixty-six-day deadline. Framed for the murder of the Order’s patriarch, Soul must face assassins, investigate a conspiracy and seek a cure before the time runs out.

The healer’s intervention keeps Soul alive after the accusation, but the cure is temporary: Soul has sixty-six days before their body gives out. The story follows the effort to survive, fend off pursuing assassins and uncover the conspiracy behind the crisis, with choices shaping which of eight endings the non-linear narrative reaches.
