Gears of War: E-Day is an origin-story campaign set fourteen years before the original Gears of War. Players join Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago on Emergence Day, when the Locust Horde erupts from below and sparks a desperate fight for survival. The game also includes multiplayer, with Horde Siege PvE and Versus PvP.

Emergence Day brings a darker, grittier threat: familiar enemies are reimagined, and new creatures and villains join them. The campaign can be played alone or with up to four players online; online play is also available across Horde Siege and Versus.
