Star Trek: Infinite description
Star Trek: Infinite is a strategy game in which you lead one of four major powers: the United Federation of Planets, Klingon Empire, Romulan Star Empire, or Cardassian Union. You make the faction’s major decisions and pursue its goals, with choices shaping the course of your playthrough. Diplomacy, espionage, warfare, or a combination of these approaches can lead toward victory.
The game is built on Stellaris’s core systems, with aspects streamlined and simplified for the Star Trek setting. Its faction choices also include distinct styles of play, so the decisions you make as a faction leader affect how successfully you reach your goals.
Gameplay and features
- Choose an approach: Pursue diplomacy, espionage, warfare, or a mix of these routes. The game presents them as different paths toward victory rather than requiring one singular way to play.
- Recruit characters and build a fleet: Recruit captains and officers associated with your faction, and draw on its selection of Star Trek starships. Federation examples include Picard, Janeway, Sisko, and Data, while the Enterprise-D can be developed for the Federation fleet through the storytelling system.
- Faction-specific ships: The available ship examples vary by faction: Federation Intrepid- and Defiant-class ships, Cardassian Galor-class vessels, the Romulan D'deridex, and the Klingon Negh'Var are among those named.
