NIPH is a roguelite platformer built around intense combat and exploration in a fantasy world. Slash, shoot and cast spells as you travel through procedurally generated areas, face distinctive creatures and take on dungeon challenges. Build your character through the items you use: gaining experience with equipment teaches abilities and can improve attributes such as strength and intelligence. Customize your character’s appearance, choose an initial weapon, and set out from Greenhorn’s Haven to explore the world.

Gameplay and features

• Explore changing biomes: NIPH has 12 areas with unique creatures, challenges and biome-specific items. The world is procedurally generated for each run.
• Develop abilities through equipment: Items teach special abilities as they gain experience, and learned abilities remain usable without the item equipped. Experienced items also raise attributes.
• Take on dungeons and bosses: Each area has dungeons with puzzles, enemies and rewards. Every biome has two possible bosses, selected at random.
• Customize your character: Choose from different hairstyles, outfits and colors, and create multiple characters for new adventures.
• Face other players in Arena Mode: Arena Mode offers fast-paced combat against other players, where learned spells and equipped items shape your build.
• Recover after defeat: Death costs some progress, but most of your power remains, giving you a chance to continue with abilities learned on a new run.

How does character progression work?
