I Am Alive description

I Am Alive is a survival adventure set in a devastated city one year after a worldwide cataclysm called the Event wiped out most of humanity. You play a lone survivor trying to stay alive and reunite with his long-lost wife and daughter. The city’s streets are choked with toxic dust and rubble, while the ruins of its remaining skyscrapers hold some of the few unspoiled resources.

The people you encounter have different needs and intentions: some are friendly and need assistance, others are frightened, and many are hostile. Groups of hostile survivors use tactics to hunt you, making encounters dangerous when ammunition is scarce.

Gameplay and features

Scavenge and navigate the ruins: Make your way through dust-covered streets and climb the remains of skyscrapers to search for scarce resources in the destroyed city.
Confront dangerous survivors: Some survivors need help, while others are hostile and hunt in groups. Combat is deadly and ammunition is scarce; deception can help you deal with groups, though the toughest enemies may see through a bluff.
