Highrisers description

Highrisers is a pixel-art urban survival RPG about four survivors stranded in a skyscraper in a deserted metropolis. A mysterious disease has left its victims trapped in an eternal dream, transforming them into light-shunning creatures called dreamers that emerge at night. To find a way out, the survivors must search procedurally generated high-rises for food, tools and spare parts, then work together to prepare for nightly attacks. Their route through the city depends on an old rooftop helicopter, which they can repair and modify to travel between buildings.

Gameplay and features

Explore and scavenge: Search varied, procedurally generated skyscrapers for supplies, with special floors offering valuable loot or unique interactions.
Craft and research: Use salvaged materials to make weapons, barricades, tools, machinery, medicine and food. Research and character skills unlock more advanced inventions.
Coordinate four survivors: Each survivor has an individual skill tree. Pool their resources, knowledge and abilities to unlock recipes, perks and character interactions.
Prepare for the night: Plan defenses against the dreamers, using tactics such as fighting, luring, immobilizing, hiding from or stalling them until sunrise.
Repair the helicopter: Modify and improve the damaged HC-27 to move between rooftops, carry more goods and travel farther.
