Dune: Spice Wars description

Dune: Spice Wars is a real-time 4X strategy game set on Arrakis, where you lead a faction in a contest for control of the desert planet. Spice, found only on Arrakis, is sought by powerful forces across the Imperium. Your central objective is to gain dominance over the planet while rival factions compete for influence.

Arrakis also poses environmental threats: storms and sandworms can endanger troops and spice harvesters. Sandworms erupt from the dunes, so scanning for wormsign matters when operating in the desert. The setting includes figures such as Duke Leto Atreides, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Emperor Shaddam IV, Esmar Tuek, and Liet Kynes.

Gameplay and features

Explore and expand: Send ornithopters across Arrakis to locate resources, villages, and points of interest. Then use troops to take control of regions and develop resources with buildings and spice harvesters.
Choose political or military tactics: Use agents to sabotage rivals and vote on resolutions in the Landsraad, or launch an assault. Deploying ships and aircraft can bring political repercussions for outright aggression.
Customize factions and Conquest runs: Select from factions with distinct abilities and playstyles, then choose councilors to strengthen their advantages or offset weaknesses. In Conquest mode, take a major house through scenarios and personalize its starting setup with perks and upgrades.
Play multiplayer matches: Join a 2v2 match or a free-for-all for up to four players. Match settings can include AI difficulty, map size, victory conditions, sandworm aggression, storms, and the number of Sietches.
