Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game set in the lands of Conan the Barbarian. Starting with nothing, players work to survive, establish a clan legacy, build a settlement, and contend with enemies through combat and warfare.

The world stretches from a burning southern desert to snow-capped northern mountains. Its ancient cultures, ruins, and dungeons offer places to discover, while hunting animals, defeating monsters, and exploring underground can yield resources, treasure, and clues to ancient civilizations.

Gameplay and features

  • Manage survival needs: Stay warm or cool, eat and drink, and endure sandstorms. Exploring dark dungeons also brings the risk of mental corruption, while vicious monsters pose a direct threat.
  • Gather and build: Harvest resources to craft tools and weapons, then construct buildings piece by piece, from homes to cities. Add walls, traps, elevators, furniture, crafting stations, and NPC guards.
  • Recruit thralls: Capture NPCs and take them to your base using the Wheel of Pain. They can then serve settlements as archers, crafters, entertainers, and in other roles.
  • Fight and command god avatars: Use swords, bows, siege weapons, and explosives in warfare. Sacrificing enemies at a god’s altar lets players summon and control a towering avatar that can crush enemies and buildings.
