Battleplan description

Battleplan is a real-time strategy game set on the Western Front of World War II from 1944 onward. Command divisions in large historical battles, issuing high-level orders while officers and companies carry them out autonomously. Missions unfold second by second and can be paused, played in real time or fast-forwarded.

Plan operations by drawing multi-step orders on the map, then coordinate attacks, defensive positions and withdrawals across battlefields modeled with real-world geographic data. Manage your army’s organization, officers and supplies as you pursue objectives across more than ten historical battles.

Gameplay and features

Plan and command: Draw multi-unit plans directly on the map, use tactics such as counterattacks and planned withdrawals, and direct divisions while subordinate units act autonomously.
Organize your army: Manage a chain of command spanning headquarters, regiments, battalions and companies. Combine divisions into corps or split units down to company level.
Manage supplies: Supply flow depends on terrain. Capture depots to support an advance, cut enemy supply lines, and pull back units when their supplies run low.
Develop divisions and officers: Requisition and upgrade units, promote officers, and keep them alive to gain veterancy. Wounded divisions can rest and recuperate.
Explore historical battlefields: Fight across maps based on real-world geography, with roads, towns and terrain represented in their real locations. Examine geo-tagged historical photos and videos.
