Tenebris: Terra Incognita is a turn-based RPG in a science-fiction setting. You command human fighters on an uncharted planet after the Solaris expedition ship crashes there, with the central objective of saving the expedition and escaping the planet.

The Solaris is the expedition’s only relatively safe place on the planet. Its commander and head of security are involved in the effort to escape, alongside the chief doctor, leading engineer and warehouse manager. Crew members offer unique tasks; completing them can provide resources and technologies. Supplies are scarce, so resources gained in battles must be spent carefully.

Gameplay and features

• Develop specialized characters: Characters begin in one of five basic classes. As they gain experience, you can choose development branches from 17 advanced classes, each specialization having its own talent tree.
• Adapt equipment and abilities: Found or purchased weapons, armor and special equipment can improve character attributes, affect talents or grant abilities. The inventory system supports combining equipment with character abilities and talent choices.
• Face coordinated insect swarms: The bugs use chemical signals to coordinate and to strengthen or accelerate one another, making individual enemies more dangerous as the swarm grows.
• Manage the Solaris base: At the ship, you can buy weapons and armor, awaken recruits from cryo-sleep and send wounded heroes for treatment. Resources found in missions can be used to improve the ship’s bays and expand squad capabilities.
