Defend The Sacred Well

Defend the Sacred Well is a single-player, top-down defense game that combines action combat with skill-based builds. Command a Warden on a 3D battlefield, fight waves of undead, and protect the well while managing your own survival. Choose the Wellkeeper Warrior, Frost Oath Mage, or Wild Beastmaster and defend one of three battlefields: The Hollow Garden, Monastery of Frost, or The Ashen Graves. Each map features a separate twenty-wave defense with its own terrain, enemies, and boss encounters.

Between waves, combat pauses so you can buy, reroll, and combine skills. Build choices, hero progression, and supplies shape how you respond to each battlefield’s threats.

Gameplay and features

• Choose a hero and battlefield: Play as one of three heroes across three maps, each with distinct terrain, threats, and boss encounters.
• Create skill synergies: Use 43 shared active and passive skills, additional Mage and Beastmaster abilities, and 16 alliances. Combine three matching skills of the same star level to upgrade them, up to three stars.
• Manage the defense: Move, focus targets, and dash to avoid danger. Choose manual or automatic skill casting, and spend gold on skills, attributes, or emergency supplies.
• Face varied enemies and bosses: Adapt to fast attackers, armored guards, exploding enemies, and summoners, while responding to warning zones for boss attacks.
• Continue beyond the map: After clearing a map, continue into Endless Mode with your current build, facing additional waves with more and stronger enemies.
• Adjust your play session: Optional automatic defense and adjustable battle speed change the pace. Local autosaves let you continue an unfinished expedition.
