Chained Beasts is a co-op gladiator roguelike for 1–4 players, pairing arena combat with teamwork and slapstick mishaps. Players fight while chained together, coordinating their movements to overcome enemies and survive the Colosseum.

Use weapons and arena hazards to defeat opponents, then face formidable bosses as your fame grows. Runs bring changing paths and lasting challenges, including injuries and afflictions. Gain skills, earn the crowd’s support, collect money for equipment and weapons, and unlock characters with powerful abilities as you struggle toward freedom or revenge.

Gameplay and features

• Fight with the arena: Slash and hack opponents, throw weapons, or turn the surroundings against them with hazards such as spikes and snake pits.
• Coordinate while chained: Players are linked together in different ways. Work in sync to trip enemies, or risk getting tangled around arena obstacles.
• Endure injuries and afflictions: Arena battles can leave fighters limping, missing an eye, or experiencing hallucinations. Potions may ease pain but can bring worse side effects.
• Build strength across runs: Learn skills, earn the crowd’s support, save money for equipment and weapons, and unlock characters with powerful abilities. Each run takes a different path.
• Face arena bosses: As your fame rises, take on heavily armed bosses described as heroes of the arena.
