Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk DX is an RPG set in a world repeatedly affected by the Dusk era, where people have survived and rebuilt modest livelihoods. The story follows Ayesha, a girl living in a remote atelier and earning her living by making medicine.

The game is the first title in the Dusk trilogy, a series of RPGs that tells the story of a world on the verge of ruin through the perspectives of its characters. Its setting shows people continuing to survive and reclaim a meager livelihood after repeated periods of upheaval.
