After a bio-weapon attack on London, two scientists are trapped in a locked-down laboratory as their time and air run short. The Complex is a live-action interactive sci-fi thriller in which player choices and relationships with other characters shape the story, leading to one of eight endings.

Dr Amy Tenant previously treated victims of a chemical attack in Kindar and is a leader in Nanocell Technology. In London, news of a civilian vomiting blood emerges; the civilian’s identity is far from coincidental. Amy is reunited with an old friend inside the laboratory headquarters, which holds a perilous secret.

Gameplay and features

• Relationships shape events: Interactions and choices can strengthen or weaken relationships with other characters. Relationship scores are tracked throughout the story and affect certain scenarios, with major consequences in the concluding scenes.
• Personality tracking: The game tracks the character’s personality across decisions and interactions. At the end of a playthrough, a Personality Score and breakdown show how the character played, using five dimensions: openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.
• Additional interactive features: Unlockable features include Skip Scene, Personality Assessment and a Hidden Event. A Pause Choices option is also included for live-stream participation.
