After the events at Wildberger Hospital, Caroline Walker wants a normal life with her sister, Anna. When Anna’s visions lead her to create drawings that become real, Caroline travels to Villa Hess, a remote town in the mountains of southern Chile, seeking a way to free her sister from the affliction.

Villa Hess includes a shadowy convent, a derelict shopping mall, and an abandoned school. The clinic’s serene staff conceal a troubling truth, while other characters Caroline encounters have their own agendas and secrets.
