Space Pioneer is a top-down shooter about exploring unfamiliar planets and hostile galaxies with a robot sidekick. Players take on missions across varied worlds, from icy tundra to lush jungles, while uncovering ancient secrets and confronting alien threats.

Alien enemies range from cybernetic arachnids to venomous hornets, and the game also pits players against massive bosses with distinct offensive and defensive capabilities. The three classes each have a unique companion.

Gameplay and features

• Mission objectives: Missions include tasks such as recovering stolen disks, defending probes and repairing crashed craft. Objectives, enemies and additional challenges change between plays; completing missions earns loot that can unlock gear and skills.
• Weapons and equipment: Combat equipment includes gun turrets, rifles, blasters and mines. These weapons have upgrades, while loot can unlock new gear.
• Choose a class: Choose from The Light, The Heavy or The Standard. Each class has combat, survival and engineering skills.
