NASCAR Heat 3 is a stock-car racing game with a Career Mode centered on building a race team and competing in the Xtreme Dirt Tour. The career path continues into three NASCAR national series: the Camping World Truck Series, XFINITY Series, and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

The track selection includes eight new dirt tracks, among them dirt racing at Bristol Motor Speedway and the series’ first dirt road course. The game also adds the final Charlotte Roval layout and an overhauled ISM Raceway, formerly known as Phoenix.

Gameplay and features

• Online tournaments: Enter daily or weekly tournaments against other players. Set a race time to qualify for the Finals in your skill bracket, then compete to win that bracket.
• Career team management: Choose between signing with a NASCAR team or starting your own. If you build a team, you can also assemble its staff and pursue the Cup Series championship.
• Practice racing line: During practice, use the racing line for real-time feedback on the optimal line and speed for the current track.
• Car setups: Select from nine predefined car setups instead of tuning in the garage. The options include three loose setups and three tight setups.
