Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden description
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is a tactical adventure set on a post-human Earth where nature has reclaimed ruined cities and the human population is gone. You lead a group of Mutants into the Zone to survive and search for Eden, a legendary refuge said to hold answers about the world.
The team includes Dux, Bormin, Selma, and other Mutants, each with a distinct personality and perspective. The Ark serves as a return point where you can restock supplies and plan the next expedition.
Gameplay and features
- Turn-based tactical combat: Combat uses a turn-based tactical system inspired by the XCOM games, placing encounters within the game’s broader exploration and stealth framework.
- Real-time stealth: Move through shadows to avoid enemies or catch them unaware. You can enter enemy camps quietly and position the Mutant team before a fight to seek the element of surprise.
- Mutations and abilities: Mutants can unlock individual abilities, including Selma’s Stoneskin and Bormin’s Charge. Dux can use his ability to sneak into an enemy camp unnoticed.
- Environmental tactics and equipment: Use cover from floodlights and enemy lines of sight, or destroy walls and buildings. Equip the team with weapons and gear ranging from makeshift slingshots and rifles to top hats and police vests.
