Bullet Soul: Infinite Burst description

Bullet Soul: Infinite Burst is a scrolling shooter about Zenichi, Yun, Sadahl and Loop’s fight against the Mecha-warl empire, which seeks to conquer space. The game builds on Bullet Soul’s aggressive, bullet-cancelling action with revised stages and additional modes. Burst Mode introduces redesigned level layouts, coin collection and the Combination Burst system. Normal and Caravan modes also receive revised enemy patterns, while Loop can be played across all modes. Four ships are available, alongside a hidden mode to unlock.

Gameplay and features

  • Combination Burst: In Burst Mode, collect coins and use the Combination Burst system as you take on its overhauled level design.
  • Modes and ships: Play Normal, Caravan and Bancho modes, with a fourth mode and one hidden mode also listed. Choose from four ships, with Loop available across all modes.
  • Revised challenges: Normal and Caravan modes have been redesigned and rebalanced with new enemies and attack patterns. Bancho mode lets you practise and refine your score stage by stage.
  • Vertical display and leaderboards: Use the tate, or vertical-screen, display with X/Y scaling and smoothing. Leaderboards are divided by mode and ship, with friend filters.
  • Music: The soundtrack features returning composers Kenji Ito and Kohta Takahashi, with Jake “Virt” Kaufman contributing remixes.
