Between Horizons takes place aboard the Zephyr, humanity’s first generation ship, travelling to another star. You play Stella, the ship’s newly appointed Chief of Security, investigating a conspiracy linked to an incident that threatens the ship’s social order and its mission.

The adventure combines a branching science-fiction narrative with a semi-open, expanding environment described as Metroidvania-style. Its story raises questions about intergenerational responsibility and personal freedom, placing those concerns alongside the investigation.

Gameplay and features

• Build and submit cases: Assign clues to cases, question people aboard the ship about the evidence, and submit a case using the clues you have connected to it. The evidence system leaves it to you to work out how discoveries relate.
• Live with investigative mistakes: Submitting an incorrect solution does not stop the story; it continues with the consequences. Auto-save prevents returning to an earlier point to undo decisions.
