Agatha Christie - Hercule Poirot: The London Case description

Hercule Poirot joins Lloyd’s of London to oversee the transport, protection and sale of a valuable painting of Mary Magdalene. The work is intended for a London museum exhibition alongside ecclesiastical art on loan from Brussels. After the painting is stolen at a Preview Gala, Poirot must investigate the theft, uncover the truth and identify the culprit.

Before the theft, Poirot examines the museum’s security and meets the painting’s new owner, Mortimer Ailsworth, and curator Evelyn Warbeck. His colleague Hastings assists with the artworks’ insurance and the painting’s sale. The story follows Poirot in his youth and features a new cast of characters.
