MXGP 2021 is a motocross racing game built around the official MXGP and MX2 championships. Its career mode starts in the MX2 category, with the goal of progressing toward becoming an MXGP champion. Players can race as part of a team they create or join an official team, while career results influence progression and the contracts available with teams and sponsors.

The game includes more than 40 riders, official MXGP and MX2 2021 season bikes and teams, sponsors, accessories and the 2021 championship tracks. It also features three tracks from past competitions: Ottobiano in Italy, Ernée in France and León in Mexico.
