Dragon Age: The Veilguard description

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you play as Rook, a new hero in Thedas, where two ancient gods have escaped and threaten to blight the world. Your central task is to stop them. The setting spans rugged wilderness, labyrinths and cities, with the gods’ threat placing the continent in danger.

Thedas is also marked by conflict among its nations and splintering factions. The story visits locations including Arlathan Forest and Minrathous, and choices in companion stories affect how those characters develop; completing these stories might unlock abilities.

Gameplay and features

Choose companions for battle: Lead a team of seven companions and decide which to take into battle. They bring distinct expertise and abilities to fights against demons, dragons and other threats.
